The calendars of the successful people

What do you think how much time we have to live, to achieve our dreams, to complete tasks that we want, to be happy, to be successful, to not waste any moment?

People usually think we have a lot of time which is not true lets talk numbers. If you are lucky enough then you will live for 80 years and if you are 20 years old right now then you have already exhausted 25% percent of your life so now you are left with 65 years.

Now lets talk in pictures this is your life calendar here each block is a week and this is the total number of blocks or weeks that you have to live

Out of this you have already lived 25% if you are 20 years old

Still think you have much time left?? Think again before you know all this blocks will be filled and do you want to fill these blocks with unnecessary stuffs you do every day ? that TV show you are watching is it worthy enough of filling this blocks? Think again

Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.

Do you want to fill this blocks by doing that job you hate. Are you filling enough of this blocks with your time together of your loved ones ? Don’t you want to these blocks to be filled with meaningful ,happy and satisfying.well it is difficult to have a happy life all the time but are you taking efforts ? I think not

So here is what you need to do?

  • Set priorities in life
  • Love your parents
  • Enjoy little moments
  • Love your job
  • Make friends good ones
  • Most importantly track your time

And to track your time I have one more calendar it is called a day calendar this calendar divides your day into blocks of 10 mins each excluding 8 hours for sleep it looks like this.

Take a printout of this image and for every 10 min that passes mark how satisfied you were with your 10 mins and what you did was your task meaningful, does it help you in reaching your goal or did you spend quality time with family or friends if yes them mark the block green if no then mark it red. Do this for enough days you wont have to do this everyday just enough to get habituated and start tracking time

Once you do this you will start using time at its fullest and for achieving your goals in this way you will not waste your time and will feel guilty in doing so and this is how rich people are rich they value their time.

I learnt about this recently and I have also adopted this day calendar and life calendar and this has helped me see things lot clearly and focus on important things rather than wasting on unnecessary activities & writing this blog was really worthy of my time..
